Lanka Texture presents a sequence of interpolated frames elaborated through post-production, depicting a cathartic action tied to the artist’s personal and cultural journey. Originating from a photograph taken in the Lombard countryside — where the artist, dressed in a saree, performs the act of undressing — the image becomes a looped gesture, repeated to the point of abstraction. Through this repetition, the frame evolves into a kaleidoscopic texture, recalling the ornamental motifs of Sri Lankan textiles and exploring the intersection between body, memory, and heritage.
